CANIRAC Tijuana Announces Third Golf Tournament Featuring Lorena Ochoa

The National Chamber of the Restaurant and Condiment Industry (CANIRAC) in Tijuana has announced the third edition of its Golf Tournament, scheduled for 11 September at the Club Campestre de Tijuana. The event will bring together 166 golfers and 20 participating restaurants, emphasizing both sport and culinary networking. Former world‑number‑one golfer Lorena Ochoa will serve as the special guest, opening the ceremony with the traditional "bastonazo" and taking part in several tournament activities.

Rebeca Aguilar Santuario, president of CANIRAC Tijuana, highlighted that the tournament showcases the region’s gastronomy as well as its passion for golf. Registration opens at 7:00 a.m., with a promotional entry fee of US$220 until 8 August, rising to US$250 thereafter. Competitions will include categories A, B and a women’s division, along with contests for Hole‑in‑One, Longest Drive and approach shots. The official sponsor is AVIT Soluciones, whose founder Jorge Ortega will act as Grand Marshall. The prize‑giving ceremony will feature a "Grill Zone" menu prepared by top local chefs.
