Cannigione hosts second National Beach Kata Championship

The second edition of the National Beach Kata Championship, featuring both Karate and Para Karate, took place on September 5 and 6, 2026, at the Riva Azzurra beach in Cannigione, Italy. The event included a Para Karate seminar led by Master Luca Nicosanti and Master Patrizia Priore.

Among the notable participants, the Asd Karate Club Okinawa Telti, led by Master Timoteo Scanu, secured three medals. Ottavio Careddu won gold in the K31 Para Karate Over 16 category, while Leonardo Addis earned silver and Riccardo Mura took bronze in the cadet competitive category. The competition was noted for its challenging conditions, including high temperatures and a round-robin format for certain classes.
