Cannondale to move global headquarters to Netherlands and close Connecticut office
Cannondale has announced it will close its historic headquarters in Wilton, Connecticut, and relocate its global headquarters to Woudenberg, Netherlands. The move is part of a broader reorganization by its parent company, Pon. Bike, aimed at consolidating commercial and technical activities.
The closure of the Connecticut facilities will result in the layoff of 143 employees, including key roles in engineering and research for mountain bikes and components. According to filings with the Connecticut Department of Labor, the layoffs are scheduled to begin on December 21, 2026, and will continue through December 31, 2027.
As part of the restructuring, Cannondale will establish a new operational base on the U.S. West Coast to manage North American commercial activities, retailer support, and cyclist services. Additionally, the company plans to implement a unified sales model across the Pon. Bike portfolio, which includes brands such as Santa Cruz and Cervélo, to simplify distributor relations.
