Canobbio rejects international offers to stay with Fluminense

Uruguayan forward Canobbio has declined international offers to remain with the Brazilian club Fluminense. The player reportedly turned down proposals from Russia's Krasnodar and Argentina's River Plate to prioritize the club's ongoing sporting project.

Canobbio stated that his decision was based on professional maturity and the desire to build a lasting legacy at Fluminense rather than pursuing immediate financial gains. He emphasized that because a football career is short, he wants to capitalize on his current peak performance by continuing his journey in Brazil.

The striker has been a vital component of Fluminense's recent success, particularly in the Copa Libertadores. He played a decisive role in securing the team's place in the tournament's semifinals, including a key individual goal during the quarter-finals against Platense.
