Canoe Kayak World Cup: France dominates in Vaires-sur-Marne

The penultimate Canoe Kayak World Cup took place from September 3 to 6 at the Olympic Nautical Stadium in Vaires-sur-Marne, France. The event hosted 238 athletes from 48 countries.

France secured a strong performance on home soil, earning a total of six medals. In the kayak cross discipline, Camille Prigent won gold, while Marjorie Delassus, Joris Hello, and Mathurin Madoré secured silver and bronze medals. Other French podium finishes included silver for Titouan Castryck and bronze for Martin Cornu in the slalom event.

Spanish athlete Manu Ochoa, representing the Club Deportivo Miño-Teixugos, earned a silver medal in the individual kayak cross event after posting a leading time of 55.66 seconds, eventually finishing behind England's Joe Clark.

The competition moves to La Seu d'Urgell, Spain, next week for the fifth and final round of the World Cup season.
