Canoe Turkey Championship held in Eskişehir

The Durgunsu Canoe Turkey Championship, held from August 18-21 at Sarısungur Pond in Eskişehir, saw significant performances from regional clubs. The competition featured 55 clubs and 504 athletes from across Turkey competing in 1000m, 500m, and 200m distances.

Rize athletes secured the general classification championship, driven largely by their dominance in the women's categories. Notable winners from Rize included Bedirhan Hanoğlu and Hayri Deniz Akarsu, who both earned gold in the 1000m category.

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club also achieved high honors, bringing home a total of 12 medals. Emircan Ayaklı and Simge Kaya each secured three individual Turkey championships across various distances in their respective age and gender categories.
