Canoeing competitions held in Tordesillas and Tui

Various canoeing competitions took place across Spain recently. In Tordesillas, the second regatta of the V Trofeo Diputación Provincial de Valladolid was held at the CD Piragüismo Tordesillas facilities. CD Cisne secured the top spot in the team classification, followed by CD Canoe de Valladolid and the host club, CD Piragüismo Tordesillas.

The Tordesillas event is part of the ‘Navegando por la Provincia’ program, an initiative by the Valladolid Provincial Council to promote outdoor sports and local tourism across several municipalities, including Tudela de Duero, Simancas, and Medina de Rioseco.

In Galicia, the LV Descenso Internacional del Río Miño took place between Salvaterra de Miño and Tui. The event, recognized as a Festival of Tourist Interest, featured approximately 500 paddlers and 41 teams. In the K2 Veteran category, Jesús Rodríguez León and José Antonio ‘Toño’ Girón González from Fluvial O Barco achieved first place with a time of 1:03:21,51. Other notable performances included Adolfo Monteagudo Real and Neftalí Paraje taking second place in the same category, and Kissy Torres Núñez and Yanaisa Fraga Martínez securing third place in the K2 Veteran female category.
