Canon to launch Camera Control Centre application in 2027

Canon has announced the upcoming release of “Camera Control Centre,” a free computer application designed to streamline video production workflows. Scheduled for release in early January 2027, the software will integrate several existing tools into a single platform to manage remote cameras.

The application will consolidate functions previously handled by four separate programs: the Camera Search Tool for initial setup, the Remote Camera Control Application for PTZ control, the Multi-Camera Management Application for firmware and settings, and the Camera Colour Matching Application for LUT generation and colour matching. By unifying these processes, Canon aims to improve operational efficiency for production sites facing technical personnel shortages.

New features included in the integrated suite are a Field of View (FOV) Calculation function, which simulates shooting angles based on camera models and subject distance, and a multi-camera configuration feature that allows users to save and recall settings for multiple cameras. Additionally, a “1x4 Quick Image Adjustment” function will enable users to compare and adjust settings like shutter speed, white balance, and iris for up to four cameras simultaneously on one screen.
