Cantá party brawl leads to injuries and firearm seizure

A violent brawl during a party in the rural area of Cantá, Roraima, resulted in multiple injuries and the seizure of a firearm on Sunday morning. The incident occurred in Vila São Sebastião, near the Taboca region.

According to reports from the Military Police, the conflict began due to long-standing disputes and gossip involving two couples. The altercation escalated into physical violence, including the use of glass bottles. During the chaos, a 23-year-old man reportedly left the venue and returned armed with a 20-gauge shotgun. Witnesses stated the individual pointed the weapon at a woman's head and issued death threats, but bystanders managed to disarm him and hand the weapon over to the establishment's owner.

Several individuals required medical attention. Victims presented with various injuries, including cuts, abrasions, and bite marks. While one participant claimed to have been stabbed, the event organizer suggested the wound might have been caused by broken glass on the floor. The seized shotgun and ammunition were turned over to the Civil Police for investigation.
