Cantù to host community event to raise awareness of food poverty

The city of Cantù is hosting a community event titled ‘La povertà non è una colpa’ (Poverty is not a fault) to raise awareness about food poverty and its local social consequences. Organized by the San Vincenzo di Cantù – Intimiano pastoral community in collaboration with the Incontri – Mensa di solidarietà association, the gathering will take place on Sunday, October 4, at 12:00 PM on the steps of the Basilica di San Paolo.

The initiative is part of a broader project focused on human dignity. Organizers aim to highlight that poverty is not an isolated phenomenon but a reality affecting various individuals within the local territory. The event seeks to foster dialogue and strengthen solidarity networks by inviting both those who provide aid and those who receive it to participate in a shared moment of community connection.
