Canta Comigo Teen leads Brazilian TV ratings in debut

The premiere of the youth singing competition Canta Comigo Teen aired on Tuesday, 21 July, and captured the top spot in the Goiânia market for six minutes, while achieving the second‑highest national rating with an average of 5.6 points and a 14.3 % share. Strong viewership was also recorded in Belo Horizonte (7.2 points, 14.8 % share), Salvador (6.0 points, 13.1 % share), Rio de Janeiro (4.6 points, 7.8 % share) and other regions, with the SBT network remaining in third place across most markets.

The programme continued on Wednesday, 22 July, with its second episode showcasing eight new contestants performing classic hits. Selections included Carmen Miranda’s “South American Way,” Adele’s “Skyfall,” Tina Turner’s “The Best,” and Elis Regina’s “Upa, neguinho,” among others, as the young singers vied for spots in the semifinal round.
