San Juan school investigation follows disturbing bathroom message

Authorities in San Juan, Argentina, are investigating a disturbing message discovered in a bathroom at the Carlos María de Alvear School. The inscription, which included a drawing of a sad face, read: “I am pregnant. Help, I am only 10 years old. It was my uncle.”

The UFI ANIVI (Specialized Fiscal Unit for Investigation of Abuse and Intrafamily Violence) intervened immediately. Although the message had been erased by the time investigators arrived, its existence was confirmed through witness testimonies and photographs taken before its removal.

Prosecutor Duilio Ejarque has ordered the review of security camera footage from the school and surrounding areas to identify who wrote the message and to determine if a minor is in actual danger. The investigation is operating under the hypothesis of potential intrafamily sexual abuse, though the claims in the message have not yet been judicially confirmed as factual.
