Cantabria Junior Cycling Race Route Unveiled for 2026
The UCI‑rated Vuelta a Cantabria Junior race will take place from 4 to 6 September 2026 across three Cantabrian towns. The opening stage starts and finishes in Puente Viesgo, covering nearly 100 km with a short “circuito rompepiernas”, the climb to Hijas, two laps of the Alto de San Martín, a sprint at Sarón and a final ascent to the Centro de Arte Rupestre.
The second day moves to Vioño de Piélagos for a 119 km route that repeats a circuit featuring the Alto de La Montaña, sprint points at Renedo and a steep finish up the wall of the Salceda cemetery. The final stage finishes in Santillana del Mar after 115 km, including a sprint at Cabezón de la Sal, a lap with the Alto de Cildad, and a decisive climb to the Alto de Ubiarco before the race concludes.
The event will be presented on 3 September at the Teatro Vimenor in Vioño de Piélagos, and live coverage of the last 70 km of each stage will be streamed on YouTube by Sportpublic TV, with additional updates on X and Instagram.
