Cantabria rolls out AI‑driven Seneca school platform while Andalusian university launches AI‑centric online master

The Cantabria Education Ministry announced that it will replace the decades‑old Yedra system with the Seneca software provided free by the Junta de Andalucía. The new AI‑enabled platform is intended to make data collection and management across the region’s roughly 300 schools faster and more intuitive, reducing the current "almost artisanal" processes. Councilor Sergio Silva presented the plan at the third committee of school directors for the 2025‑26 academic year.

Separately, the Universidad Internacional de Andalucía has expanded its eliA online master model, which centres artificial intelligence in both teaching and learning. Launched three years ago, the model will grow to six official master programmes by 2026‑27, combining asynchronous study with live sessions and introducing a "dynamizer‑orientador" role that proactively supports students. The platform operates on Open LMS, aiming to personalise learning experiences and better integrate AI into higher education.
