Cantabria tourism agency Cantur job creation claim denied by PP spokesperson
Alejandro Liz, the regional deputy and tourism spokesperson for the Popular Party in Cantabria, said the public call for the Executive Director of Operations and Talent at Cantur does not create a new position. He explained that the recruitment simply updates the existing Human Resources Director role, expanding its duties to support strategic tourism projects, and therefore does not increase public spending or the payroll.
Liz accused the governing PSOE of deliberately misleading the public, calling the claim of a new job a “falsehood” and insisting that no additional salary costs are involved. He emphasized that the government will focus on modernising Cantur and advancing tourism initiatives that drive the regional economy.
