Cantemir implements major sports and road infrastructure projects

The city of Cantemir is undergoing significant infrastructure transformations through more than 10 ongoing projects funded by national and local budgets. Key developments include major investments in sports and road networks.

In the sports sector, the local administration has developed facilities for football, basketball, volleyball, and tennis. Plans are also underway for a padel court and a multipurpose hall. Additionally, the Municipal Sports School has seen increased engagement, including the reopening of a chess section due to high demand from local children. Some of these sports initiatives were supported by the Moldovan Tennis Federation and the National Fund for Regional and Local Development.

Regarding transportation, the city is investing over 8 million lei in road rehabilitation. This includes repairs to several streets in the central area, including the road leading to the city hall. These works are being carried out through a combination of national funds and local budget contributions.
