Canto da Primavera opens registrations for music workshop

The 25th edition of Canto da Primavera – Mostra de Música de Pirenópolis has opened registrations for its free Ensemble Practice Workshop. The initiative is designed for both professional and amateur musicians looking to improve their collective musical performance skills.

Led by musician, composer, and arranger Chico Chagas, the workshop will take place from September 9 to 11 as part of the broader festival running from September 8 to 13 in Pirenópolis. There are 20 available spots, distributed among percussion, wind, and string instruments (6), vocals (4), and various rhythm and melodic instruments including drums, bass, keyboard, guitar, and acoustic guitar (10).

Interested applicants must submit an online form and a two-to-five-minute video demonstrating their musical proficiency by 5:00 PM on August 28. Participants, except for drum and keyboard students, are required to bring their own instruments, though the organization will provide amplifiers and sound systems. The workshop will conclude with a performance by the participants and Chico Chagas on September 11 at Palco Teatro.
