Canton 10 Ministry of Internal Affairs changes official name

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Canton 10 in Bosnia and Herzegovina has updated its official website to remove the term ‘Hercegbosanska županija’ (Hercegbosna Canton), replacing it with ‘MINISTARSTVO UNUTARNJIH POSLOVA KANTONA 10 – MUP K10’.

Sanel Kajan, a representative of the Democratic Front in the House of Representatives of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, characterized the change as a success following years of warnings regarding the use of unconstitutional names, symbols, and emblems. Kajan noted that he has previously submitted parliamentary questions and initiatives to enforce constitutional court rulings and ensure that institutions adhere to the laws of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the state.
