Canton Aargau Police Boost School‑Start Traffic Checks

After the summer holidays, the cantonal police in Aargau increased traffic and speed controls around schools as thousands of children resume daily commutes. Officers are conducting intensified road‑safety checks, offering preventive actions and a visible presence to protect pupils on their way to school. The police appeal to drivers to exercise extra caution near school zones, advise parents to encourage walking or supervised group travel, and coordinate the effort with the Department of Education, Culture and Sport (BKS) and the Swiss Touring Club (TCS). The aim is to raise awareness among motorists, parents and the wider public and ensure a safe start to the new school year.
