Canton Network Launches Decentralized App Layer Backed by $1M Grant
ChainwireBitSafe announced the public beta of Decentralization Manager, an open‑source framework that lets developers and institutions build decentralized financial applications on the Canton Network. The tool, funded by a Canton Foundation Development Fund grant of more than $1 million (8.5 million CC), provides reusable infrastructure for token issuance, multi‑signature custody, tokenized real‑world assets, and decentralized exchanges, reducing the need for each team to create its own threshold custody, governance and audit layers. The framework was independently audited by Quantstamp and is designed to meet institutional standards for audit trails and distributed trust.
The first live use case is CBTC, the network’s inaugural non‑native asset, which has already processed over 10 million transactions and enables node operators to earn a share of network fees. Decentralization Manager aims to accelerate institutional adoption of on‑chain capital by simplifying the launch of resilient, privacy‑native blockchain products.
