Cantoria inaugurates renovated, energy-efficient town hall

The town of Cantoria has officially inaugurated its renovated town hall following a comprehensive energy-efficiency transformation. The project, titled ‘Sustainable rehabilitation with high energy efficiency of the Cantoria Town Hall building’, was funded by NextGenerationEU via the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, receiving a subsidy of 1,231,316.16 euros.

Mayor Puri Sánchez led the inauguration, accompanied by the Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Óscar Puente. The renovation went beyond aesthetic updates, incorporating photovoltaic production, climate control, ventilation, thermal and acoustic insulation, and new electrical and telecommunications installations. The project aimed to create a climatically self-sufficient building while improving municipal service organization and citizen attention.
