Cantv expands telecommunications infrastructure in Venezuela
Cantv, the Venezuelan state telecommunications company, has reported significant infrastructure improvements and service restorations across several regions. In Delta Amacuro, the company achieved a 98.17% effectiveness rate in resolving approximately 1,400 reported faults between January and August 2026. These repairs, facilitated through the VenApp system, included network maintenance, cable installation, and connectivity testing in municipalities such as Tucupita and Casacoima.
In Ciudad Guayana, Cantv has deployed fiber optic connectivity to three major hospitals: Uyapar, Dr. Raúl Leoni Otero (Guaiparo), and the Isabel Gómez Pediatric Hospital. The deployment involved laying 1,950 meters of fiber optic cable to support critical areas including emergency rooms, pediatrics, obstetrics, and operating rooms. The initiative aims to modernize public health services by enabling high-speed internet access for administrative and medical tasks.
