Cao Dai followers hold memorial service for martyrs at Le Thi Rieng Park

The Cho Lon Cao Dai Congregation organized a formal memorial and prayer service for fallen heroes and martyrs at Le Thi Rieng Park in Ho Chi Minh City on September 6.

The ceremony, conducted according to Cao Dai religious rites, included offerings of incense, flowers, and wine to honor those who sacrificed their lives for national independence. The event served as a way for followers to express gratitude and pray for the souls of the deceased to find peace.

Ngoc Quyen Thanh, manager of the Cho Lon Cao Dai Congregation, noted that the gathering of remains at the park carries deep symbolic meaning, representing a return to the homeland and the embrace of the people. He emphasized that for Cao Dai followers, remembering the deceased is a way to practice compassion and fulfill social responsibilities.
