Caoa Changan CS75 SUV hits Brazil market with R$180k price and premium tech

The Chinese‑Brazilian joint venture Caoa introduced the Changan CS75 midsize SUV in Brazil at an initial price of R$199,990. The vehicle is built at the Anápolis (GO) plant and features a 1.5 L turbo‑flex engine delivering 180 hp and 29 kg fm of torque, paired with an eight‑speed Aisin automatic transmission. Interior equipment includes three screens totalling 37 inches, front seats with zero‑gravity massage, heating, ventilation and integrated seat belts, and a panoramic UV‑filter roof. Exterior highlights are a 20‑inch wheel set, LED headlights and a distinctive three‑dimensional grille.

Two weeks after launch the CS75’s price was reduced by R$20,000 to R$179,990 for the sole Infinity trim, coinciding with the brand’s celebration of 5,000 units produced. With a 2.80 m wheelbase, 610‑liter trunk and dimensions comparable to the Jeep Commander and VW Tiguan, the non‑electric SUV targets Brazilian consumers seeking premium features at a competitive cost.
