Chery Group expands Brazilian market presence with iCaur and Jaecoo

The Chery Group is significantly expanding its presence in the Brazilian automotive market through several new brand launches and model updates. The new brand iCaur is set to debut in the first half of 2027, led by the V27, a large SUV featuring a range-extended electric (REEV) system. The V27 offers up to 455 hp in its premium version and is designed with a rugged, classic aesthetic. Following the V27, iCaur plans to introduce the V25 in 2027 and a new generation of the V23 in 2028, aiming for a network of 50 dealerships.

Additionally, the Jaecoo brand is strengthening its portfolio. The Jaecoo 5, a compact hybrid SUV, is expected to compete in the R$ 200,000 range with a combined 224 hp. The larger Jaecoo 8 is also confirmed for a 2027 launch, potentially offering up to 605 hp and a plug-in hybrid system.

Meanwhile, Caoa Chery has updated the Tiggo 7 lineup in Brazil. The refreshed models include the Sport and Pro versions, featuring redesigned interiors with dual 12.3-inch displays and improved mechanical performance. The updated Tiggo 7 line moves away from mild-hybrid options in certain configurations, focusing instead on turbo gasoline and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrains.
