Caorle hosts major Futurism art exhibition
The town of Caorle is hosting a major exhibition titled ‘Futurism: Prophecy and Revolution’ at the Centro Culturale A. Bafile. Promoted by the Municipality of Caorle and curated by Matteo Vanzan of MV Arte, the event features over 60 works that explore Futurism as a transformative movement in both visual arts and lifestyle.
The collection includes paintings, sculptures, photographs, and manifestos sourced from prestigious private and public collections, such as the Banco BPM artistic heritage and the Museo dell’Aeronautica G. Caproni in Trento. Notable works on display include Filippo Tommaso Marinetti’s ‘Zang Tumb Tumb’ (1914), Carlo Carrà’s ‘Guerrapittura’ (1915), and Luigi Russolo’s ‘L’Arte dei rumori’ (1916).
Visitors can view iconic pieces such as Italo Fasolo’s ‘Battaglia di Sassabaneh’ and Alfredo Gauro Ambrosi’s 1933 aeropittura masterpiece, ‘Scendendo in città dal cielo’. The exhibition showcases a wide array of artists, including Umberto Boccioni, Giacomo Balla, and Fortunato Depero, and is scheduled to run until September 6, 2026.
