Capacite Infraprojects secures Rs 369 crore Chennai Metro order

Capacite Infraprojects has secured a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) for a project valued at approximately Rs 369 crore. The contract involves the construction of buildings near the Thirumangalam Metro Station, spanning areas along the viaduct and on open land parcels.

The scope of work encompasses civil construction, architectural finishes, plumbing, electrical and mechanical works, ventilation and air-conditioning, lifts, and other associated activities. Managing Director Rahul Katyal stated that the project is a significant milestone that strengthens the company’s presence in the public sector.

The order is substantial relative to the company’s recent financial performance, representing roughly 58% of its June-quarter revenue. This follows a previous Rs 741 crore Letter of Intent from Mahindra Lifespaces in August, signaling an expansion of the company’s project pipeline.
