Capago Algeria mandates QR code for French visa appointments

Capago Algeria, the service provider responsible for collecting French visa applications, has announced that applicants must present an appointment confirmation containing a QR code to access its centers. This requirement is mandatory for entry and is used to verify the validity of the appointment upon arrival.

Applicants may present the confirmation either as a printed document or digitally on a mobile phone, provided the QR code remains clearly legible. This measure follows recent provisional changes to the application process, which included the implementation of automatic appointment confirmations on October 7 and a shift to cash payments for visa fees on the day of application submission.

In 2025, France issued over 204,000 visas to Algerian nationals.
