Capama supervises water distribution in Acapulco

Antonio Lorenzo Rojas Marcial, director general of the Acapulco Water and Sewage Commission (Capama), supervised water rationing in the metropolitan area. The distribution serves more than 50 sectors through the Venta-Zapata and Zapata I tanks.

The service interruptions were partially due to six days of work by the National Water Commission (Conagua) to install new sanitary drainage pipes in the Canal del Perro area of Playa Seca. This required a temporary suspension of water movement to facilitate the work.

Following the completion of the Conagua project, Capama resumed distribution to several neighborhoods, including Flores Magón, CNC, Emiliano Zapata, Sector 06, Sinaí, Libertadores, and Simón Bolívar. Service was also impacted by power outages affecting pumping stations. Capama and Conagua will continue to coordinate on hydraulic works in the region.
