Capcom and Amazon Games announce major video game releases

Capcom has released Resident Evil 2, 3, and the Resident Evil 4 remake on the Nintendo Switch 2 as of October 16, 2026. Comparisons between the Switch 2 port and the PlayStation 5 version show minimal differences in character models, though the PlayStation 5 maintains superior global lighting.

In a separate announcement, Amazon Games, Crystal Dynamics, and Flying Wild Hog released a new trailer for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis. This remake of the 1996 classic is scheduled for release on February 12, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. Developed on Unreal Engine 5, the game will feature modernized gameplay while following Lara Croft's journey to find Atlantis.

Additionally, Crystal Dynamics is developing Tomb Raider: Catalyst, a new installment set in northern India, which is expected to launch no earlier than 2028.
