Capcom announces Resident Evil Veronica remake for 2027
Capcom confirmed that it will remake the classic 2000 title Resident Evil Code: Veronica, now renamed Resident Evil Veronica. The game is slated for release in 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC, and will use the company’s RE Engine with modernised gameplay, a semi‑open world and updated graphics.
The remake was revealed at Summer Game Fest 2026, showing new locations such as snowy Paris streets and Antarctica. Capcom also announced full Spanish localisation – voice‑over, subtitles and interface – marking a first for this installment. The announcement follows a series of successful Resident Evil remakes that have refreshed the franchise for new‑generation players.
Capcom’s plan positions Resident Evil Veronica as the next step in its remake strategy, linking older storylines with newer titles and expanding the series’ global appeal.
