Capcom Announces 2027 Resident Evil ‘Veronica’ Remake at Summer Game Fest

Capcom revealed a full remake of the 2000 game Resident Evil Code: Veronica, now titled Resident Evil Veronica, during the Summer Game Fest 2026 showcase. The new title will launch in 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam, using Capcom’s RE Engine and featuring a modernised gameplay experience. The remake returns series heroine Claire Redfield and follows her and brother Chris as they confront a viral outbreak on Rockfort Island and a research facility in Antarctica. The announcement was made in Los Angeles and highlights Capcom’s ongoing effort to revitalise its flagship survival‑horror franchise for both longtime fans and new players.
