Capcom's Monster Hunter Rise reaches 20 million units sold

Monster Hunter Rise Capcom video game sales action RPG Sunbreak

Capcom has announced that its action RPG, Monster Hunter Rise, has surpassed 20 million units sold globally. The milestone comes approximately five and a half years after the game's initial release on March 26, 2021.

Since reporting 19.3 million units sold as of June 30, the title has moved an additional 700,000 copies. This achievement makes Monster Hunter Rise Capcom’s third-best-selling game of all time. The figure is distinct from the 11.9 million units sold for its expansion, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.

To celebrate the achievement, Capcom released commemorative artwork via social media and expressed gratitude to the player community. The game is currently available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
