Capcom announces Resident Evil: Veronica remake for 2027 release

Capcom confirmed the development of a remake of Resident Evil: Code Veronica, now titled Resident Evil: Veronica, during the Summer Game Fest 2026. The first trailer showed Claire Redfield returning as the protagonist, continuing her search for her brother Chris and heading to France before confronting a mysterious situation.

The game is scheduled for a 2027 launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2 and will later become available on PC via Steam. It can already be added to wish‑lists on the PlayStation Store and Steam. The remake preserves the original story’s core while updating graphics, gameplay and narrative elements for modern consoles.
