Capcom expands Monster Hunter franchise to mobile devices
Capcom is bringing its Monster Hunter franchise to mobile platforms through two distinct titles. Monster Hunter Rise is arriving on iOS and Android via Netflix Games. This version is a complete adaptation of the original game, featuring rebuilt touch controls, Bluetooth controller support, and full online multiplayer for up to four players. As part of the Netflix Games catalog, it requires an active subscription and does not include ads or in-app purchases.
Simultaneously, a new free-to-play spin-off titled Monster Hunter Outlanders is scheduled to launch on October 29 for Android and iOS. Developed by TiMi Studio Group under Capcom's supervision, Outlanders is a survival hunting game set in the world of Aesoland. It features open-world exploration, a building system for traversing environments, and real-time co-op for up to four players. While the global version is launching soon, a mainland China version is expected in 2027.
