Pokémon GO launches week of June 29 – July 5 2026 events
Nintendo’s mobile game Pokémon GO runs a packed event week from 29 June to 5 July 2026. The schedule celebrates the title’s 10th anniversary and introduces new Pokémon variants, including four colour versions of Squawkabilly and shadow forms such as Shadow Rookidee, Shadow Noibat, Shadow Seel and Shadow Hoothoot.
Key activities include Max Monday (29 June) featuring Dynamax Pidove, a Spotlight Hour (2 July) centred on Pidgey, and Raid Hour (1 July) with Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres at level 5. The Flying Taxi event runs until 20:00 on 29 June, while the Team GO Rocket takeover runs from 25 June to 29 June, offering a Super Rocket Radar and new shadow Pokémon. Bonus rewards across the week give double experience for Pokémon evolution, four‑fold catch‑XP and increased Stardust during the anniversary “Party” on 4 July.
Players can also choose a research path—Explore, Catch or Fight—each granting extra bonuses such as half‑distance for egg hatching, extra candy for good throws, or additional Rocket‑Radar parts. All events conclude on 6 July at 20:00, after which the next community‑day and GO Fest 2026 events begin.
