Capcom reportedly developing a Devil May Cry 1 remake with RE Engine
Rumors circulating among gaming insiders claim that Capcom is deep in development of a remake of the original Devil May Cry. The leak, attributed to the source MajorPlayeix, says the project is well into production and is being built with Capcom's RE Engine (some reports also reference Unreal Engine 5). Capcom has not issued any official confirmation, nor has it announced a release schedule.
The speculation follows a resurgence of interest in the franchise after the success of Devil May Cry 5 and a popular Netflix animated series that boosted sales and attracted new fans. Should the remake be confirmed, it could provide a modern entry point for the series and reinforce Capcom's plans to position Devil May Cry as a core IP.
