Capcom signals Pragmata sequel likely after 2.5 M sales

Capcom announced that its new sci‑fi action‑adventure Pragmata has sold more than 2.5 million copies worldwide since its April 2026 launch. The strong commercial performance prompted corporate officer Yoshikazu Shimauchi to state that the likelihood of a sequel is high, positioning the title as a potential long‑term franchise for the company.

The game’s success helped drive Capcom’s first‑quarter fiscal 2027 results, with revenue rising 55 % year‑over‑year to ¥70.41 billion (≈ $429 million). PC sales now represent 60.4 % of total game sales and digital sales 93.3 %, underscoring a shift toward computer platforms. Pragmata follows protagonists Hugh Williams and the android Diana, whose detailed hair animation—over 430 000 animation points and under 20 000 individual strands—was retained despite early plans for a shorter bob cut.
