Capcom targets late 2027 for Resident Evil Requiem DLC
Capcom is reportedly targeting a late 2027 release for the ambitious story expansion for Resident Evil Requiem. While Capcom has previously confirmed that additional story content is in development, a specific release date has not been officially announced.
According to industry insider Dusk Golem, the DLC is being developed by many of the same teams at M-Two and K2 who worked on the Resident Evil 4 Separate Ways expansion. The project is described as a significant narrative undertaking rather than a minor addition, potentially focusing on the character Oswell E. Spencer and his connection to the Umbrella Corporation.
Reports suggest the expansion may repurpose the Arklay Mansion from the original Resident Evil. This development follows a strategic shift for Capcom to use substantial DLC to provide content between major releases, filling gaps left by a lack of standalone spin-off titles in the current pipeline.
