Capcom to remove character edit microtransactions in Monster Hunter Wilds
Capcom has announced it will discontinue the sale of character and Palico edit vouchers in Monster Hunter Wilds, a microtransaction that previously required real-world money to change character appearances. The sale of these vouchers is scheduled to end on December 3, 2026.
As an interim solution, Capcom will provide all players with 10 free Character Edit Vouchers and 10 free Palico Edit Vouchers. Full, unlimited character customization at no cost is expected to arrive with the release of the “Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance” DLC in 2027.
Players who previously purchased vouchers will not receive refunds, but Capcom will offer a “Special Thank-You Pendant Set,” including the Heavenly Hog and Beelzeboar pendants, as a token of appreciation. The decision follows player criticism regarding the necessity of paid tickets for cosmetic adjustments.
