Capcom unveils Resident Evil Veronica remake and reports DLC delay
Capcom announced a full remake of Resident Evil: Code Veronica, slated for a 2027 release window. To promote the launch, the digital retailer Fanatical is running a global giveaway of a Resident Evil Requiem key. Participants must add the game to their Steam wishlist and link their Steam profile to Fanatical; the contest runs until 23 June, limits entries to one key per person, and is open to anyone aged 18 or older.
Separate reports indicate development setbacks for other Resident Evil projects. A rumored reboot of the Resident Evil Zero remake has been assigned to Capcom’s Division 1, while the planned Resident Evil Requiem story expansion – focusing on Leon S. Kennedy with a cameo by Ada Wong – is expected to arrive later than initially promised, pushing its DLC release beyond the launch of Veronica.
