Capcom's Devil May Cry 5 hits 14 million sales as new Switch edition arrives
Capcom announced that its action‑game Devil May Cry 5 has sold more than 14 million copies worldwide. The title, first released in March 2019 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, later received ports for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and, most recently, a dedicated Devil Hunter Edition for Nintendo Switch 2. The Switch version adds characters such as Vergil and extra content, though some Special Edition features are omitted.
The sales milestone underscores the franchise’s enduring popularity, boosted by price promotions, new platform releases and the accompanying Devil May Cry animation series. With 14.24 million units sold, the game contributes to Capcom’s record of roughly 41 million copies sold across the Devil May Cry series, placing it among the company’s top‑selling brands.
