Cape Girardeau hosts free back-to-school community event

The fifth annual Back-to-School Community Day for Kids was held at the Cape Girardeau Arena Building to assist local families in preparing for the upcoming academic year. Organized by Kenitha Pittman, owner of VIP Loc Studio, and Realtor Tanyana Ivy of Main Key Realty, the event provided free services and supplies to community members.

Volunteers offered free haircuts, hairstyles, and nail painting, while families were able to collect school supplies and access free food. The organizers stated the event aims to support families who may lack the financial means to cover essential back-to-school expenses and grooming needs.
