Cape May named finalist in Hallmark Christmas Town contest
Cape May, New Jersey, has been named a finalist in the Hallmark Channel’s ‘Merriest Christmas Town’ contest. The Victorian seaside resort is one of 25 towns selected to earn the title of an official Hallmark Christmas Town.
While all 25 finalists receive the official designation, one grand prize winner will be selected to serve as the actual filming location for a future Hallmark original holiday movie. The contest is part of the network’s 25th-anniversary celebration.
Selection is based on community voting and a judging panel that evaluates finalists on neighborhood charm, holiday traditions, community spirit, and goodwill. Public voting is open through September 4.
