Cape May Zoo Welcomes New Female Grant's Zebra Foal
Cape May County Park & Zoo announced the birth of a female Grant's zebra foal on July 17. The foal was sired by the herd's stallion Ziggy and born to mother Lydia, marking Lydia's fourth offspring at the zoo.
Zoo officials highlighted the event as a sign of the zoo's ongoing conservation and community work. Commissioner Andrew Bulakowski said, "Every birth at the zoo reflects the important work taking place right here in Cape May County." The zoo is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with free admission, inviting visitors to watch the foal nursing, resting, and beginning to explore the exhibit.
