Cape Town Cycle Tour prepares for 28,000 riders

The Cape Town Cycle Tour is set to host 28,000 riders this Sunday. Weather forecasts for the event indicate a cool and cloudy start, transitioning to a sunny mid-morning and a warm afternoon with temperatures ranging from a low of 19 degrees to a high of 25 degrees.

Wind conditions are expected to be a light breeze between 3 and 5 metres per second, originating from the South/South-West and shifting to the West, which may provide cooling for cyclists in the final kilometres.

In conjunction with the race, the Cape Town Cycle Tour Expo has seen significant attendance, with 35,000 people visiting the stadium for registration and exhibitions. A key initiative at the expo is the ‘Tim’s Test Melanoma screening,’ a partnership providing free skin cancer screenings to participants to encourage early detection.
