Cape Town wins travel awards and prepares to host Loeries Creative Week

Cape Town has secured two major distinctions at the World Travel Awards Africa 2026, being named Africa’s top urban destination and the best destination for business and convention tourism. These awards recognize the city’s combination of natural landscapes and professional infrastructure.

Additionally, the city is set to host the Loeries Creative Week from October 4 to 9, 2026. This six-day event will bring together creative professionals, brands, and agencies from across Africa and the Middle East. The program includes the Loeries International Seminar of Creativity, masterclasses, and the Loerie Awards, which celebrate impactful creative work in the region.
