Cape Town's V&A Waterfront expands awards program and opens Louis Vuitton flagship boutique

The V&A Waterfront in Cape Town announced an expanded Neighbourhood Awards programme under its new CEO Graham Wood. The awards will now recognise hotels, office tenants, marine and industrial businesses, attractions and small enterprises, reflecting the precinct’s role as a major economic hub that supports more than 83,000 jobs and receives around 25 million visitors annually. Wood said the broader focus highlights the importance of hospitality, customer experience and collaboration across the waterfront’s diverse businesses.

In the same precinct, luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton opened a new flagship boutique. The store offers an immersive retail experience, featuring a Winter Garden overlooking the Victoria Basin, locally inspired design elements, and dedicated spaces for men’s and women’s collections. The boutique blends retail with hospitality, showcasing the brand’s heritage while celebrating Southern African creativity.
