Vozinha arrives in Chile to sign with Colo-Colo

Cape Verde goalkeeper Josimar José Évora Dias, known as Vozinha, the 40‑year‑old star of the 2026 World Cup, completed a transfer to Chile’s most successful club, Colo‑Colo. After a series of delays caused by visa paperwork and personal matters, he landed at Santiago’s Arturo Merino Benítez airport on 2 August 2026 and was greeted by a large crowd of fans waving flags and chanting his name. Club president Aníbal Mosa confirmed a six‑month contract with an option to extend through 2027, and the Chilean football federation (ANFP) approved the use of his nickname on the back of his jersey. Vozinha will undergo medical examinations on 3 August before officially signing and joining training under coach Fernando Ortiz. Earlier reports of a possible move to Moroccan side RS Berkane and internal disagreements within Colo‑Colo were resolved, allowing the high‑profile signing to proceed.
