Capilla Buen Pastor undergoes major renovation in Encarnación

The Capilla Buen Pastor in the San Pedro neighborhood of Encarnación has begun a comprehensive renovation following years of structural deterioration and leaks. The project is being funded by the Entidad Binacional Yacyretá (EBY) with an investment of approximately 246 million Guaraníes.

The 90-day renovation plan includes a complete replacement of the roof, renewal of the ceiling, painting, lighting improvements, and repairs to the chapel's bell. EBY Director Luis Benítez noted that the initiative followed a request from Deputy Sebastián Remesowski after residents shared footage of the damage caused by rain. The works aim to restore the chapel as a vital community space for faith and gathering.
